Purple Coneflowers

This floral was painted plein air in late September.  I'm always looking for flowers to paint, but the garden was past it's prime.  I was happy to find these coneflowers and they were the very last of the season.  The gesture of the blooms reminded me of dancers.

Presented in an extra-wide closed corner plein air frame in antiqued gold.
